All sponsors and volunteers of the 2009 Pefferlaw Family
Ice Fishing Event:
On behalf of the Ministry of Natural Resource’s, I
would like to convey a heartfelt thank you, to you and all the sponsors and
volunteers who helped make the 1st Annual Pefferlaw Family Ice Fishing
Day such a huge success.
There were over 20 dedicated volunteers, led by
local event chair Paul Kirby and his partner Grant
Smith who helped kids enjoy a great day of fishing with their
families. The task of drilling holes, setting up rods and reels, handing out minnows,
cooking hotdogs or just answering questions about ice fishing are all very important
to the success of the event. The prizes supplied by several businesses were an
added bonus and for those who donated them – a special thank you.
Congratulations to everyone involved! Hopefully all of these family ice fishing
days will translate into more future avid anglers who enjoy, conserve and maybe
some day even help us manage our great resources here in the GTA.
Once again thank you very much for your support of
this community event in which you can be proud of your personal commitment and
hard work.
